I think some places might still sell it. I had used it on a couple of small things I made and I still have some of it somewhere. If you wanted to use a larger square than 3" on the 3" grid, you would cut double or triple that size and line it up on the lines. The 1" squares finish at 1/2" and the whole thing gets very thick that small.
