I've had this fabric for some time now and was holding onto it for a special friend. I made the drawstring bag and tissue holder for her daughter and the potholders for her. Being a Scottish lass she's nuts about anything Scottish so hope she like these.
The tutorial for the drawstring bag can be found HERE and the tissue holder HERE.
Instead of tying the ends of the ties in a knot I decided to add some of these zip ends. I think it looks nicer. I also made the bag about and inch larger.
The potholders I made using this tutorial.

Cute fabric and great projects Maria. I made a few of those drawstring bags before, but I haven't seen those ends you used on them before. She will love them all!!!

so cute! I love the little silver bits on the ends of the cords, I've never seen them before but they look really neat as compared to a knot

ReplyDeleteDecidedly the zip ends give a professional touch, I still have not seen them around here in Quebec. When I'll see them, I'll remember you and I will buy immediately! Thanks for the links and for the inspiration!
