It's A New Year Sew ALong

It's the 1st of January and already have a few projects on the go.
One of the things that I regret about 2013 was not taking part in the many quilt alongs that were taking place. In 2014 I plan to solve that and am joining the 2014 Its a New Year Sewalong.

  3. Maria, I wanted to do the Sew Along also, but I can never do the color fabrics, it would have been nice if they had done a fabric kit for ladies like me. I also have grown children, retired and love to sew. Do you have any suggestions that might help me with color?? I will be following your progress every day. Happy New Year!!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I have the same problem you do when it comes to choosing fabrics. It takes me longer than actually making something. I find it very hard to visualize what something will look like when sewn up. Just google log cabin quilt blocks and see what colours people have use and then try to pick one that you like. The colours I chose were inspired by Caroline's who is hosting the sew along. The main thing is you have fun and don't worry too much about the colours. Quilting is a very personal thing, what looks great to you may not to another quilter so just please yourself. Sorry I couldn't reply to you personally by email, you are on 'no reply'. Hope you see this and a Happy New Year to you too.
