After making so many wallets I wanted to stick to making small items and loved this pencil case and tissue holder.
You can find the tutorial for the pencil case at Nicola Forman Quilts
The tutorial for the tissue holder is so quick too make. It takes just minutes. I'm going to be making loads of these, they make good stocking fillers. The tutorial doesn't mention to use fusible facing but I added it to mine to give them a nice crisp look.
You can find the tutorial HERE
I made the second one with the stripes going in the opposite direction.

Very nice set!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anastasia.
DeleteGreat project for all those scraps saved. And being functional is a bonus!
ReplyDeletevery cute and LOOK at your perfect stitching!!! geesh....I hope I can learn to stitch so good on my new 'beast' once it gets here! LOLLLLLL
ReplyDeleteVery nice Maria! I made tons of those tissue cases years ago and gave one to everyone I knew. I made them for all my co-workers at the time too. I used scraps. The inside of your bag looks as pretty as the outside! Is this a longer version of the zippered bag that you made that's part of your blog header? Or does it just look longer in the photo?
ReplyDeleteThe zippered pouch is a great shape for a pencil case! They'd both make fabulous presents.
ReplyDeleteSo, you must really like the combination of the stripes, flowers & orange zip because you've got exactly the same in your blog banner LOL!! They look perfect as usual :)
ReplyDeleteCute bags - I am LOVING the bright fun colours you've been using!
ReplyDeleteHi Maria.....I love that set!!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful creations, impeccable, as always! You keep giving me inspiration for my Christmas gifts, thank you! The rest of the wallets you uploaded to the previous post are just beautiful, I love the combinations of colors. I want to let you know that that I pinned this project to my board"things That I want to do". Thank you for the inspiration Maria :)))))
