I'm back with another sewing case I made up last night for the sew along over at
http://liz-moments.blogspot.de/
You can find the free tutorial for the sewing case on Liz's blog.
I'm keeping my Yo yo maker in this one so when I'm sat in front of the tv I can still do some sewing.
If you look at the photos of the thimble below you'll notice it doesn't have a top. Has anyone seen one before?
This is a mans thimble. Apparently they have thicker fingers than ladies so theirs is different. I bought it because when nails get a bit long the closed top thimbles can be very uncomfortable. Why is it they make life easy for men only????? LOLLL
I have another two projects I have in my mind that I want to do so I'm off to decide which one to start first.

Me encanta, María!
I love it, María! They're super practical! Anything sort (and beautify) our sewing spaces, welcome!
ReplyDeleteA big hug (I've been missing for work, but I start the course with strength)
Wonderful sewing case. That's a good idea to keep your yo-yo maker in it too. Do you have one size yo-yo? I have a small and an extra large one (because they were on closeout). I love the bright cheerful fabrics that you chose....you won't lose it that way. I haven't seen a thimble like that without the entire top, but they make thimbles with an opening at the top just for fingernails on some thimbles.
ReplyDeleteMaria, I love your sewing case!!!! I love the colors. You did a beautiful job, thanks for sharing this beutiful project with us, when I visit your blog, you always gives me inspiration !!!! and good links!!!!! Marisa.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww what a sweet roll-up --- LOVE the floral fabric! And look at YOU, missy - your *insert envious peek here* binding is perfection!! I love yoyo makers - I have them in several shapes and sizes, although I tend to use the same one over and over (the orange one, IIRC) :D
ReplyDeletewhere can one find a thimble like that?
